AUGUST 5, 2012

A day after reports surfaced Thursday that Obama signed a “secret” order authorizing support for Syrian “rebels,” the UN held a "symbolic" vote of its own, condemning Syriangovernment retaliation against dissidents opposing the regime. But how new is the idea for an Assad regime change? Is it even the Obama Administration's idea to begin with?

It has become an all too familiar phenomenon. Certain members of Congress and the corporate media start murmuring about a lack of humanitarian conditions at the hands of a rogue leader in a certain country in the Middle East or North Africa, eventually leading to a crescendo of constant war propaganda and eventual regime change.

It usually starts with a light trickle and like clockwork, almost as if it were the same pre-determined script used for each and every country, it ends up as a constant stream of nightly news coverage, showcasing horrible circumstances that must be dealt with by the US and its allies, in some way, shape or form.

We watched it happen over a decade ago in Afghanistan and Iraq, recently in Egypt and Libya and now Syria and possibly Iran. Each and every time, the media attempts to sell the public they must get behind an effort to halt the murderous actions of an evil dictator in a nation that truly holds no direct threat to the US, or it's allies. Mostly on the US tax-payer dime and while conditions continue to worsen for the average US citizen.

Trillions of increasingly worthless US dollars have been largely wasted in an attempt, according to the establishment and its media, to help bring “democracy,” which many in the US will argue barely exists at home, to a region that has yet to see truly unfold and may never. In fact, in some cases the situation has only gotten worse since US and allied intervention.

The UN, NATO, other unaffiliated forces and even al-Qaeda now, contradictive to popular opinion, runs the show for the powers-that-be in the region. Unfortunately, to many hundreds of millions around the world, with very little thus far to show for vast resources and lives wasted in the process.

So why the strange and repeating pattern of war propaganda and regime change and what do all these former and soon to be former regimes have in common? Who better than to ask than someone with first had experience? How about a perfectly credible individual with insider knowledge that happened to have been there from the beginning, decorated four-star general under the H. W. Bush administration, Wesley K. Clark, Sr., Oxford Rhodes Scholar and valedictorian of West Point's class of 1966.

According to Major General Clark, at least, 7 countries had been targeted for “government destruction” and regime change since, at least, the early 90's, with little to no debate or inference by the American people. “Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, Libya, Somalia, Sudan and Iran...before the next great super-power comes along to challenge “us,”” he stated (in the attached video from 2007). Adding that the US had been taken over by a “policy coup” as the reason behind the operation.

As it turns out, the very policy coup he's referring to is the very same program spelled out originally by a so-called think tank and documents known as the Project for a New American Century. Then again in National Security Advisor and oddly quiet US government mainstay Zbigniew Brzeziński's geopolitical strategy handbook, “The Grand Chessboard.” All seemingly being run to the letter.

In the book, Brzeziński, founder of the Trilateral Commission, details “America's” need for world domination and the geopolitical stratagem to achieve such an objective. All basically falling in lock-step with PNAC and its precursor, the “Wolfowitz Doctrine,” aka Rebuilding America's Defenses. Another think-tank document from the early 90's.

PNAC's faces and chief architects, however, Cheney, Rumsfeld, Wolfowitz, Kristol, Perle, Jeb Bush and a few other known neo-cons aren't necessarily the individuals with the actual power behind a movement that has existed for decades, long before PNAC's founding. A pre-Cold War area movement that has been virtually hidden by the government and the media from a vast majority of Americans that have no real idea of its existence, reach and vast power.

So who or what then has the ability to transcend even the mighty forces of the US populous and its Congress? Honest research will always end up in the very same places. It starts with the beneficiaries, the individuals and corporations who stand to gain and potentially lose so much that they would concern themselves with ensuring US policy follows these war playbooks.

Behind the usual suspects, the war machines, Halliburton, Raytheon, Northrop Grumman, GE and others; all with that uncontrollable need for power and control that has been with us since the beginning of time. The drive for power and dominion that drove the Roman Empire and the East India Companies to take unspeakable measures to conquer and gain from their targets. Is it so different today? Depends on who you ask and what country they're from.

For all our technological advances and achievements, this old game still remains the same. A few who take the right strategic moves to position themselves to gain from the resources of others, preferably destabilized third world nations with lots of oil, precious metals and rare stones.

This drive is strong enough to unite and organize the wicked and organize they have. At a time when liberty is challenged the American people must realize that American Presidents, like so many others around the globe, are not elected but placed in office to complete a preset agenda. Bush, Clinton, Bush, Obama, different styles - same war playbook. Just as Mitt Romney if he thinks the US should have gone into Afghanistan, Iraq, or even Iran.

Proving there really is no substantial difference between so-called conservative neo-cons like George Bush, Dick Cheney, John McCain and Mitt Romney, in comparison to so-called liberal progressives like Al Gore, Joe Lieberman, John Edwards, John Kerry, Joe Biden, Hillary Clinton orBarack Obama, when it comes to politics, foreign policy and the ultimate goal.
