If you haven’t heard the NATO summit is coming around the sane time of Dragon’s Dogma releases. Now love or hate the organization what is more disturbing is how Chicago-a few hours travel from where I live is increasing becoming closer to that of a police state. These preparations are closer to those of a readiness for an attack than providing security for the attendees.

Chicago has been declared a Red Zone with armed security agents roaming the streets.

The head of Chicago’s NATO Host Committee said Thursday she was blindsided by the federal government’s decision to create a militarized “Red Zone” in the Loop to protect federal buildings in the run-up to the May 20-21 summit at McCormick Place.

The image of federal agents on downtown streets far from McCormick Place — in battle gear, weapons slung — three weeks before the summit is certain to have a chilling effect on those who live and work in the Loop. It also calls into question Host Committee Executive Director Lori Healey’s oft-repeated message that Chicago will remain “open for business” during the summit.

By itself not that bad a problem. Sometime that could easily be handled through representatives but then you hear that they are gearing up for mass arrests or evacuations.

Now, reports are emerging of plans to incarcerate large groups of demonstrators and ship them off to Joliet prison.

Later the article goes on to say

According to CBS2 Chicago, reporters from the network have obtained an email from the Red Cross to its Milwaukee office. The email warns Wisconsin Red Cross responders that the upcoming May 20 Chicago NATO Summit, “may create unrest or another national security incident. The American Red Cross in southeastern Wisconsin has been asked to place a number of shelters on standby in the event of evacuation of Chicago.”

Other outlets added:

Are there plans in place for a mass evacuation of downtown in the event of riots on May 20-21? A Red Cross memo out of Milwaukee indicates that there is.

Officials there have been asked to make plans to assist residents in the event of a mass exodus.

There also are reports that a heavily armed security team will start making a very public appearance around federal buildings in the Loop this week. Officials with the Chicago NATO host committee were completely in the dark. They had no reports of any such plans.

YouTube user NewsPowerTV posted the three-minute video, which it said was “anonymously submitted” on Monday. It said the video showed officers “intimidating and threatening physical violence against protesters arriving in Chicago on May 9th, 2012″. The user later posted a 30-minute, unedited, version of the encounter.

In the footage an officer is heard asking: “You guys got something planned for next week?” Before one of the protesters says they are heading to Occupy Chicago.

As the video continues, at the 12-minute mark a man’s voice, apparently a police officer, says: “You like that, he knows, see these guys know, ’68 … you guys all know ’68″, in an apparent reference to riots in Chicago during that year’s Democratic National Convention, which resulted in more than 500 arrests.

The same voice continues: “What did they say back in ’68?”

“A billy club to the fucking skull,” another voice responds.

One of the protesters contends that the riots were related to “a race issue”, prompting a voice to respond: “Ok, now we’ll beat your white ass.”

Later in the video, at around the 27-minute mark, an officer says: “Wait for the protest day. Save it up for then.”

“We’ll see you on Nato,” a protester says.

A police officer apparently responds: “We’ll come looking for you. Each and every one of you.”

Does all this point to some kind of engineered riot or crackdown occurring at the mass protest of NATO during the summit? It sure looks that way. If not that then what are they gearing up for? Since American soil is so well protected according to the Government a terrorist attack seems extremely unlikely, an insurrection completely absurd. That is only leaving a crackdown of protestors or some sort of False Flag Operation left on the table.

In other words keep an eye out for something going down around the NATO summit. Hopefully it will be nothing but it isn’t looking that way.
