Today, America lost another one of its great entertainers. Still fresh in our memory is the tragic passing of Robin Williams, and now, mere weeks later, we are mourning the loss of another comedic legend. Joan Rivers passed away on Thursday, September 4th, in a Manhattan hospital bed surrounded by friends and family.
Never one to let a scare-tactic go to waste, a Twitter page alleging to operated by key ISIS members claimed responsibility for the passing of Rivers only hours after the announcement of her death.

This unusual clash begun after Rivers made disparaging comments about the current state of affairs in Gaza. Rivers appeared to have zero sympathy for the plight of the Palestinian people, and was quoted saying the following, “Good. Good. When you declare war, you declare war. They started it. We now don’t count who’s dead. You’re dead, you deserve to be dead. Don’t you dare make me feel bad about that.”

“They were told to get out. They didn’t get out. You don’t get out, you are an idiot. At least the ones that were killed were the ones with low IQs”

Joan Rivers was known for her brash and gritty brand of comedy. Her impetuous sense of humor set her apart from other female comedians of her era. If there’s one thing that could be said about Joan, it’s that she was never afraid to speak her mind, no matter whose feelings were on the line. The overbearingly impudent diva was famous for exploiting even the most sensitive topics with a sadistic zeal.

The anti-ISIS sentiments made the 82 year old comedian a target for the terror organization’s ire, and it has even been rumored that a bounty was placed on Rivers by multiple Islamic extremist sects.

Now that Rivers has passed, these same people are not only celebrating, but taking credit for it as well. On the now deleted Twitter account, the ISIS leader wrote, “Praise be to Allah who has cast the vulgar American, Joan Rivers, into the deepest pit of Jahannam as punishment for her vile insults towards Islam. All who choose to degrade our religion will ultimately suffer the same fate. Praise be to him for wiping this obscene abomination off the face of the earth!”

ISIS has made it a point to terrorize Americans, and this is a prime example. On the now-deleted Twitter account said in another tweet, “As long as you continue to occupy our lands with your military presence, we will continue to take the lives of American citizens. Your journalists. Your politicians. Your celebrities.

Joan River’s family and attorneys have yet to comment on the tweets, and whether or not they feel threatened by the statements. Rivers will be laid to rest on Sunday at Temple Emanu-El in Manhattan.
