They authorized, as an amendment to the Defense Authorization act, the indefinite suspension of habeus corpus. We are now officially a police state.

How can it happen that we don't hear about this after the deed has been done? Are we so befuddled by the slight-of-hand of our elected officials that we don't even know what is going on? Also, on what premise do our senators and other elected officials sign away the freedoms that this great country has been built on? It seems that everything that the forefathers and mothers have fought to be free from is returning now in spades. One by one the freedoms of the American people is being snatched away, quietly and slyly, without the people even knowing it. Shame, shame and more shame on the elected representatives and even more so on the voters that have the power to change it!
