This week in Georgia a new statute called the "Lethal-Injection-Secrecy-Act" shields the way that drugs to be used on death row inmates are acquired and manufactured. Georgia has had a difficult time acquiring the drug, Pentobarbital after European producers objected to its use in executions. On Monday a judge temporarily postponed Georgia inmate Warren Lee Hill's scheduled execution after attorneys raised questions involving the state's supply of execution drugs. It wasn't the first time Hill's scheduled execution had been postponed by a challenge to Georgia's execution method. Last July, a previous execution date was put on hold by an earlier challenge to the state's plan to change from a three-drug-cocktail injection to a single dose of Pentobarbital. Hill was condemned for the killing of another inmate in 1990. Richard Dieter, Executive Director at the Death Penalty Information Center, joins us to discuss.
