Fresh Hot Plastic BPA Water! YUM! We saw this at least twice today at two different stores on a quick ride through town. Fresh for the summer season, mmm baked in plastic carcinogenic goodness!

How many times have you seen this? Check out these cases of plastic bottled water for sale that have been baking in the sun outside a store for who knows how long.

People we've got to stop buying water from in some cases who knows where in plastic containers made with materials that have been shown in studies to contribute to cancer! Save money and filter your own water instead. A filter is more cost effective over time and at least you know where the water came from when it goes in.

A report on bottled water from the Environmental Working Group (http://www.ewg.org/research/ewg-bottl...) went past what the advertisements say to see what a laboratory said about what's really in bottled water (besides water):

"A new EWG survey of 173 unique bottled water products finds a few improvements -- but still too many secrets and too much advertising hype. Overall, 18 percent of bottled waters fail to list the location of their source, and 32 percent disclose nothing about the treatment or purity of the water. Much of the marketing nonsense that drew ridicule last year can still be found on a number of labels."

On top of that, plastic is plastic and baked plastic has been linked to cancer.

We use gravity fed tap filtering here that takes the fluoride out as well. It can't always be avoided, but if you are going to drink bottled water, PLEASE do not drink any you find that have been sitting out in the hot sun leaching chemicals into your drink!
