Abortion should be made legal when it involves incest or rape of a young child out of wedlock, and not for any selfish reason. It should be a mothers choice whether to or not to abort her fetus (foetus) within the first eight weeks of her pregnancy, but not for some bureaucrat threatening fines or a jail term because she aborts her unwanted, unloved baby in some illegal abortion clinic in some backstreet, and there is always the adoption choice. No woman should have to carry her unwanted unborn for nine months if she doesn't want anymore children because of financial reasons or been in a violent relationship where they don't want children. Just don't get pregnant in the first place when there is the birth control pill (contraceptive pill).
