WV sheriff caught snooping on his wife's computer

Jan 7, 2014
A West Virginia county sheriff has been sentenced to two years probation and fined $1,000 for installing a keylogger onto his wife's work computer. Miles J. Slack and his wife were in the middle of divorce proceedings, when the Clay County sheriff entered his wife's workplace after hours installed a keylogger that would record everything his wife typed. His wife worked at the Clay County Magistrate Court and typed a myriad of private court information, including financial details, on the computer that belonged to the West Virginia Supreme Court.
