I find it utter nonsense to claim Peter as the first pope of Rome

and Catholic church. First of all the Jews were banished from Rome by Claudius who ruled from 41-54 AD (Acts 18:2).

He was the nephew of Tiberius Caesar who died in 37 AD. In (Acts 28:16-24) Paul calls on the chief Jews at Rome and there is no mention of any Peter (62 AD). Paul noted Peter as leading around a wife in (I Cor. 9:5). The Lord Himself told Peter he would be lead around by other when he was old (blind) ( John 21:18). Peter was looked up to by his friends and family for he had a strong spirit and didn't take crap from anyone. Jesus too saw these underlying qualities of Peter and made him the rock of his fellow servants, the apostles and disciples. Jesus told Peter when he was converted by the Holy Spirit, he was to strengthen the brethren (Luke 22:32). This conversion took place on Pentecost when 120 were in the upper room in Jerusalem (Acts ch. 1). So what would a Jew be doing as a pope of Rome and head of gentile church? Paul wrote to Timothy (I Tim. 4:1-3), now the spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits and doctrines of devils; speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron; forbidding to marry and abstaining from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth. So, does this sound like it would be a church with Peter as pope? Or of a deceiving people? Paul also noted in (Acts 20:28,29) that grievous wolves would enter in not sparing the flock of Christ.
